2025 Nissan Pathfinder Price and Review

Release Date: Fall 2024

 Estimated Price: $38,000

Though not as prominent as segment leaders like the Toyota Highlander, Kia Telluride, or Honda Pilot, the latest iteration of Nissan's three-row Pathfinder is recognized as one of the model's most impressive renditions yet. The 2022 redesign introduced a bolder aesthetic with its squared-off lines, narrower lighting, and prominent badging, shedding its former rounded crossover look for a robust truck-like presence. This transformation didn’t stop at just looks; the current Pathfinder boasts a towing capacity of 6,000 pounds—eclipsing many competitors by an additional thousand pounds. This SUV also touts a spacious third row that comfortably accommodates adults, a feature not all rivals can boast.

In terms of updates, the 2025 Pathfinder is projected to carry forward the prior year's revisions, which mainly involved an extended trial for remote services including smartphone-linked start and lock functionalities. Considering the substantial upgrades made in 2022—such as an improved interior, enhanced powertrain and fuel efficiency, and increased ride comfort.

However, the 2025 Pathfinder could distinguish itself with an infotainment system refresh. The competition has moved ahead with the option of much larger 10- and 12-inch displays, while the Pathfinder's existing 8- and 9-inch screens are aging in terms of graphics and user interface. Given that Nissan's smaller Rogue SUV recently received a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a new Google-based interface, a similar update would make sense for the Pathfinder to stay relevant. Another possible design adjustment could be the introduction of a bolder slatted chrome grille akin to the Rogue.

The Pathfinder is an outstanding contender in the three-row midsize SUV segment, particularly in terms of value. It undercuts most rivals in price yet surpasses them in towing and third-row space (though it concedes some overall cargo capacity). While priced similarly to Ford Explorer's base trim level, the latter could potentially see a redesign and price increase by 2025. Kia's Telluride continues to top our rankings with its superior ride and extensive standard features. Others like the Honda Pilot, Mazda CX-90, and Volkswagen Atlas command higher prices but offer finer interiors and advanced technology.

For the upcoming 2025 model, a tech update could significantly bolster the Pathfinder's standing in the competitive arena of midsize SUVs.
