2025 Chevy Colorado Price and Review

Release Date: Fall 2024

Estimated Price: Starting around $32,000

The Chevrolet Colorado, fresh off an expansive redesign in 2023, now dominates the midsize truck segment with its exceptional features. Flaunting a newly designed, user-friendly interior, advanced technology features, and a robust turbocharged engine, it sets new standards for its rivals to match. In true Chevrolet fashion, Colorado presents a versatile range of trims and options, allowing for a seamless transition from everyday utility to rugged off-road adventures. It boasts impressive payload and towing capabilities and provides ample amenities for comfortable everyday use—perfect for those days spent running errands rather than exploring the backcountry.

For a segment of full-size truck enthusiasts, the allure lies in the impressive spec sheets. From commanding engines to considerable hauling potential and towering towing limits, these figures often persuade enthusiasts who might rarely tap into the full spectrum of such capabilities to opt for heftier trucks "just in case." However, the more compact Colorado doesn't shy away from its duties either. Despite initial reservations about a 2.7-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine's suitability for a pickup, in its top configuration, the Colorado's powerhouse churns out an impressive 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. Such output grants Colorado a commendable towing capacity of up to 7,700 pounds, coupled with a payload tolerance of 1,685 pounds — more than enough for pulling a filled-to-the-brim trailer, plus a cab packed with buddies and their equipment. Beyond its load-bearing competencies, midsize Colorado offers a more nimble driving experience, proving to be decidedly more manageable to manoeuvre and park in the tight confines of cityscapes and suburbia alike.

In the realm of midsize trucks, a renaissance is underway as manufacturers roll out several revamped models, marking an exciting departure from a period of limited innovation. The redesigned Colorado is making waves alongside a fresh Toyota Tacoma and the highly anticipated, forthcoming Ford Ranger.

Famed for its enduring appeal, the Tacoma remains a venerated force in the midsize truck domain, celebrated for its competency, off-roading prowess, and strong value retention over time. Ford's entry, the reimagined Ranger, is poised to make a splash as well, with Ford stirring excitement through the announcement of a Ranger Raptor variant to be available at launch.

Looking ahead to 2025, the Chevrolet Colorado is expected to maintain its current design largely unchanged, but that doesn't lessen our enthusiasm for it. Its bold overhaul has catapulted Colorado to the forefront, setting a challenging pace for Toyota and Ford to match as they race to adapt to Chevrolet's innovative advancements.
